FORMWISE GUIDE
How to Compress a JPG Without Making It Blurry
Compression trades file size against image quality. A good workflow reduces unnecessary dimensions before using very aggressive quality settings.
Resize first
If the destination displays a small image, resizing first can reduce file size while preserving more detail than repeatedly lowering quality.
Use moderate compression
Start with moderate quality in the Image Compressor and inspect edges, faces and text.
Keep a high-quality original
JPEG is lossy. Save the original separately and create a compressed copy for upload.
